Shim Jae Yun, also known as Jake Sim, is a member of the boy band ENHYPEN. Jake ENHYPEN was born in South Korea on November 15, 2002.

But Jake ENHYPEN was big and grew up in Australia. Jake ENHYPEN studied at Seoul's Dwight School.

Jake ENHYPEN then continued his studies at St Peters Lutheran College.

Jake ENHYPEN's career 

Ever since he was little, Jake ENHYPEN loves to show his talent in front of many people. Therefore, Jake joined by playing soccer and participating in the school orchestra.

In 2017, ENHYPEN's Jake was inspired by BTS' DNA performance at the American Music Awards. So he started thinking about becoming an idol.

 

At BigHit Entertainment, ENHYPEN's Jake was a trainee for about 9 months. After successfully participating in the training, Jake ENHYPEN was tasked with participating in the I-Land 2020 Series Survival Competition.

At I-Land 2020, ENHYPEN's Jake is one of 23 contestants. The goal is to audition for a chance to debut in the group.

At the audition there are only six participants who will be selected by the audience and one selected by the producer. Over the past few weeks, Jake ENHYPEN's appearance at auditions has made headlines.

Not only that, during the final exam of the audition, ENHYPEN's Jake also helped other contestants practice their choreography and safety. In the end, Jake ENHYPEN managed to get the third most votes at the end of the event.

From these votes, Jake ENHYPEN was eventually chosen to be part of the new ENHYPEN group. In November 2020, Jake debuted with ENHYPEN.

Jake and ENHYPEN debuted by releasing an EP called Border: Day One and a single called Given-Taken.
